| An attic fan is a fan installed in the attic of a home that monitors the attic temperature and turns on automatically when the temperature rises above a certain degree. This helps to disperse heat, saving on energy bills because of decreased need for air conditioning, and also decreases the risk of fire in the extreme heat of summer.
